PUBLIC RELATIONS DEFINITION
Public Relation is the deliberate, planned and sustained effort to establish and maintain mutual understanding between an organization and its public.
Following are the definitions given in international public relations Encyclopedia of Peter Hiddiecombe.
According to Redwafrd L. Bernays, Public Relations is the attempt by information, persuasion and adjustment to engineer public support for an activity, cause movement or initiation.
Herbert M. Raus, says, public Relations is a combination of philosophy, Sociology, economics, language psychology, journalism, communication and other knowledge into a system of human understanding.
According to Charles Plackard, "It is human decency, which flows from a good heart."
